This six eyed lion is surrounded by geometry and the golden feminine form.  His mane is adorned with feathers and flowers, his six eyes elude to an experience of transcendence as Durga divinely supports him from above. The symbolism explodes in this painting.  Let’s break down some of them!

The lion, often referred to as the "king of the jungle," possesses a remarkable set of qualities that inspire awe and admiration. With its majestic mane and powerful presence, the lion exudes a sense of strength, courage, and leadership. Known for its fierce and protective nature, the lion symbolizes bravery and loyalty. As a social creature, the lion also represents family and community bonds, showcasing a strong sense of cooperation and unity within its pride. Its keen senses and hunting prowess underscore its resourcefulness and determination. Above all, the lion exemplifies regality and dignity, embodying the essence of nobility and authority in the animal kingdom.

l Number 6 symbolises a harmonious balance between various responsibilities in life, including duties related to family, career, and self-care. It often serves as a reminder of the interconnectedness of all aspects of our existence. This powerful symbol reflects an individual's need to find equilibrium amidst different realms. It signifies the importance of fulfilling obligations in a way that benefits both oneself and those around us.

Over top of the flower of life are interlocking hexagons, circles and icosahedrons.

The icosahedron is primarily associated with the element of water, signifying fluidity, adaptability, emotion, and the interconnectedness of all things, representing the ability to flow with change and embrace transformation; it is considered a symbol of harmony and balance within the natural world.

A hexagon is often interpreted as a symbol of balance, harmony, and unity, representing the integration of opposing forces and the connection between the spiritual and material realms, largely due to its symmetrical structure and frequent appearance in nature, like in honeycombs, which are made up of hexagonal cells; it is also sometimes linked to the heart chakra, signifying love and compassion.

In every culture the circle symbolizes wholeness and the experience of unity. The circle represents the idea that everything is part of a single unified whole. The circle's symmetry and balance can reflects the divine order of the cosmos. The loop of the cycles of life, death, and rebirth.  The circle can represent a higher power's protective embrace and the cosmic forces that govern existence. It is symbolic of the journey through the unconscious. The circle is the beginning of all geometry.
