Surrendering to the Divine

This is a painting of a woman surrendering to the divine. She is lifted from the labyrinth into the light. She appears to be almost birthing herself as she transcends eluding to spiritual growth and the recreation of self as we grow and evolve throughout a life time or over the course of many lives.  

This painting incorporates the flower of life and the hexagon.

The Flower of Life is based on sacred geometry, an ancient study of geometric shapes and their spiritual significance and allows a deeper understanding of the universe's structure. In spirituality, the Flower of Life symbol represents the interconnectedness of all life, signifying the cycle of creation and the unity of everything within the universe, often interpreted as a blueprint for life with its geometric pattern reflecting the fundamental structures of existence from atoms to planets; it is seen as a tool for meditation and connecting with one's higher self, promoting spiritual awakening and healing energy. The overlapping circles symbolize the continuous process of creation, where all life originates from a single source, representing the interconnectedness of all things. Many use the Flower of Life for meditation, believing it can facilitate connection with higher consciousness and promote personal spiritual development.

In spirituality, a hexagon is often interpreted as a symbol of balance, harmony, and unity, representing the integration of opposing forces and the connection between the spiritual and material realms, largely due to its symmetrical structure and frequent appearance in nature, like in honeycombs, which are made up of hexagonal cells; it is also sometimes linked to the heart chakra, signifying love and compassion.
